Jeong Seong-ho, nominated as South Korea’s Minister for Justice, is a five-term lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea and a close ally of President Lee Jae-myung. With a background as a human rights and labour lawyer, he co-founded the Northern Gyeonggi Environmental Movement Alliance. His parliamentary career includes significant roles on the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and chairing the Judiciary Reform Special Committee.
