David Hayes
David Hayes is the son of legendary Australian trainer Colin Hayes and is a Hall of Fame member in his own right. He took out his own licence in 1990 and quickly established himself as one of the best handlers in the country, winning a host of Group Ones - including the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate. He moved to Hong Kong in 1996 and had plenty of success in a decade-long stint, winning two titles and the Hong Kong Derby with Elegant Fashion. After returning to Australia for 15 years, he is back in Hong Kong from the start of the 2020-21 season.
