ICC Cricket World Cup
The ICC Cricket World Cup is the flagship event of the international cricket calendar and takes place every four years, with matches contested in a 50-over format. The 2019 edition was the 12th edition of the tournament and was hosted in the United Kingdom. The first tournament took place in England in 1975 which was won by the West Indies. The 2019 World Cup was won by England, who edged out New Zealand in a pulsating finale.
