Known for his expertise in infectious disease control and public health surveillance, he is Head of the Communicable Disease Branch at Hong Kong’s Centre for Health Protection. He has a background in public health medicine since 2003, with responsibilities including outbreak investigation, disease surveillance and vaccination programmes. His work involves developing contingency plans for public health crises and he is currently active in managing the chikungunya fever threat, emphasising early detection and infection control. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine.
