A company in Australia says it has developed a 3D-printing robot that could revolutionise construction on Earth or in the future, even on the moon.

Charlotte is a semi-autonomous prototype robot that can create structures and design features such as curves, arches and domes in ways that overcome the limitations of regular construction techniques.

Charlotte’s developer, Earthbuilt Technology, says the technology significantly lowers construction costs and can help make the industry green and carbon-free.

“Charlotte and Earthbuilt in particular, the core technology within Charlotte, will be a game changer wherever it goes in the world. It will make construction really, really cheap,” says Jan Golembiewski, CEO and co-founder of Earthbuilt.
