Malaysia’s Gadang Holdings Bhd and its JV partner BT Solar Sdn Bhd have received the go-ahead from authorities to build a large scale solar photovoltaics (PV) plant of 5.9 MW in the Malaysian state of Sabah.

Gadang said its unit Regional Utilities Sdn Bhd (RUSB) and BT Solar – RUSB - BTS Joint Consortium - had accepted the letter of acceptance of offer from the Energy Commission dated December 15, 2016.

Gadang had received the consent from EC to disclose the contract.

“The letter of acceptance of offer requires the RUSB-BTS Joint Consortium to satisfy certain obligations, including completion of negotiation and execution of the project documents prior to EC issuing the the formal letter of award for the project,” it said.
