Scots finally celebrate as they dismantle France in Bowl
After an indifferent start ‘Bravehearts’ get it right and take home some silverware
Battling to be the best of the beaten brigade, Scotland were more than happy to raise the Bowl on high after they dismantled France 26-5.
"It's nice to take something home when you've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into something," said Scotland coach Calum MacRae.
Scotland saved their best for last - a storming 34-0 win over Wales to get them into the Bowl final and an equally impressive dismissal of the French.
Leading from the front was the bustling James Johnstone, who crossed the line twice in the final, and swooped immediately on the opportunity that arose once France's Terry Bouhraoua was sin-binned for throwing in a high arm early in the second half.
Johnstone received the pass from the restart and was away and over the line before Bouhraoua had taken his seat, and the French never again threatened.
