Paris Olympics: Hong Kong swimmers share pics on social media of nails, food and venue
- Siobhan Haughey, Camille Cheng and Stephanie Au take their first tour of the Olympic Village and the competition pool
Hong Kong swimmers Siobhan Haughey, Camille Cheng Lily-mei and Stephanie Au Hoi-shun have been getting into the spirit of the Games, and took their first tour of the Olympic Village and aquatics centre on Wednesday.
Posting a story on her Instagram account, double silver medallist Haughey showed off her newly polished nails, with two sporting painted logos of the Hong Kong flag and the Olympic rings.
“With a hint of gold,” she wrote.
Haughey will compete in only two individual events – the 100 metres and 200m freestyle events – while swimming with her teammates in the 4x100 medley relay.
She is the third-fastest woman of all time in the 100m freestyle after clocking a time of 52.02 seconds at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Germany in October.
Her teammate Au, a four-time Olympian, uploaded a photo of her first meal in the Olympic Village with fellow swimmer Cheng. Fresh fruit, mushrooms and green beans, fried egg, cheese, bread and meat-like foods were featured.
