ONE Championship: Demetrious Johnson will get ‘crushed’ if he plays Rodtang’s game, says Aung La N Sang
- ‘It all depends how DJ approaches this fight,’ says former ONE double champ N Sang
- ‘If Rodtang fights anybody that has zero Muay Thai fights, he will demolish them’
Demetrious Johnson’s special rules fight against Rodtang Jitmuangnon has got the combat sports world buzzing, for sure.
The flyweight MMA “GOAT” (greatest of all time) will take on Muay Thai icon Rodtang at ONE Championship’s 10th anniversary show on December 5.
The 35-year-old American Johnson (30-4-1) is in Singapore this week for Friday’s ONE: Revolution card, on cornering duty for a teammate – as is former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight champ Aung La N Sang, who broke down the fight for the Post.
“It all depends how DJ approaches this fight,” N Sang said. “If he fights a Muay Thai fight, obviously he’s gonna get crushed.
“But if he body locks him and holds him for a few minutes … puts his head in position, runs away and doesn’t really fight, then it’s an easy win for DJ.”
