After sympathising with “devastated” Max Holloway and questioning the judging in his UFC 251 defeat by Max Holloway on Fight Island, Dana White has opened the door to a trilogy bout between the two.
Australia’s Volkanovski (22-1) retained the featherweight crown he took from Holloway (21-6) last December with a controversial split decision in Abu Dhabi last weekend.

Many considered Holloway was hard done by the judges, having decisively won the first two rounds on all three scorecards only for “The Great” to mount a fightback.

“I agree, and it’s probably not tough to give him the third fight considering how that thing went down,” White said during a live chat with Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole.

“But I don’t know, again let both these guys go home, spend some time [resting]. It sucks for Volkanovski to have the title, go home with everybody saying, ‘Ah you didn’t win the fight, you didn’t win the fight’.
