The former featherweight champion looks to add a title in a second weight class when he bids for the vacant bantamweight belt on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

“I think I'd be among the three best of all time,” the Brazilian said, when asked at Wednesday’s virtual media day where his name might fall in the “GOAT” (greatest of all time) rankings should he take the belt vacated by the retired Henry Cejudo.

Aldo was modest enough to suggest he wouldn’t put himself in at No 1, at least.

“I don't think so, there's still a lot that I need to do, I see GSP is ahead of me,” he said. “First of all I'd put Georges Saint-Pierre for how he dominated his division, then either Anderson [Silva] or Jon Jones, then myself, then No 4 would be either Anderson or Jon Jones.”
