The UFC has confirmed its rescheduled UFC 249 event will take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on May 9.

It will be the first of three events at the venue, with subsequent cards on May 13 and 16 to be announced at a later date. The events will be closed to the public amid the Covid-19 pandemic and will be produced with only “essential personnel” there, said a press release.

“I can’t wait to deliver some great fights for the fans,” said UFC president Dana White. “My team is ready to go and the fighters are excited to get back in there with these back-to-back events.”
