UFC middleweight contender Darren Till has taken to hilariously documenting his days of self-isolation on social media as the rest of the MMA community waits for the ongoing coronavirus to subside.

Liverpudlian Till (18-2), who won his last fight against Kelvin Gastelum in November 2019 following two defeats on the trot, is rumoured to have agreed to fight former champion Robert Whittaker in Dublin in August. Neither have outright confirmed the fight – but they are clearly keeping each other entertained on Instagram.

“Current state of affairs! Multipack of Jaffa cakes, two bags of Haribo, Doritos [with] dip. Four pack of chocolate eclairs and two Five Guys burgers,” the 27-year-old Till wrote alongside a photo of his protruding stomach in his living room.

“Honestly...I can’t be a**** seeing any more of these workout at home videos, [you] are all boring the life out of me and [your] workouts aren’t worth a w***. This is probs what 99% of the UK are doing anyways!!”

Australian Whittaker (20-5), who lost his title to Israel Adesanya in October last year having been on a nine-fight win-streak in the UFC, replied: “what dip?”

On Sunday, Till posted an Instagram video of an army of Haribo gummy bears to the tune of Adele’s Someone Like You. The caption read, “losing the will to live here”, in reference to self-quarantine measures taken around the world. Fighters new and old – including Mark Coleman and Mike Perry – praised Till’s hilarious attempts at entertaining his fans.
