UFC: Henry Cejudo laughs off Petr Yan threat – ‘he fought a 41-year-old retired skateboarder’
- ‘Triple C’ belittles Russian’s victory over Urijah Faber while pointing to his own wins against Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw and Marlon Moraes
- Cejudo tells haters fuming about Jose Aldo fight ‘if you don’t like it don’t watch it’
UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo has again questioned the credentials of the No 3-ranked Petr Yan as a tit-for-tit Twitter spat continues to rage between the pair.
“My last three opponents?” Cejudo asked. “Demetrious Johnson. Probably the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Beat him. TJ Dillashaw. Probably the greatest bantamweight of all time. Beat him. Then the killer [Marlon Moraes]. He’d been knocking people out, his last three opponents.
“Petr Yan? He fought a 41-year-old retired skateboarder.”
“The Messenger” was referring to Yan’s demolition of the veteran Urijah Faber last December, after which some in MMA circles thought the Russian might get a title shot. Instead Cejudo (15-2) will line up against one of the greats in Jose Aldo (28-6) at UFC 250 in Brazil on May 9.
“If you don’t like it, don’t watch,” said Cejudo, speaking at a press gathering hosted in Las Vegas by his Dominance MMA Management team.
