ONE Championship: Jonathan Haggerty says he will stop rise of Thai phenom Nabil Anane
Bantamweight kickboxing world champion looks forward to facing Muay Thai counterpart, who will first test himself against Ilias Ennahachi

The collision course is set: Jonathan Haggerty, ONE Championship’s bantamweight kickboxing world champion, is convinced he is the man who will end Nabil Anane’s rise.
Anane, already the bantamweight Muay Thai world champion at just 20 years old, is about to test himself under kickboxing rules for the first time when he meets former champion Ilias Ennahachi this Friday at ONE Friday Fights 126 in Bangkok.
For Haggerty, there is little doubt that the bout is the final hurdle before he and the towering Thai phenom share the stage in a super fight.
“I’ve been saying it and I’ll still say it: I believe I am the only one to do it,” Haggerty told the Post.
“People wrote me off before when I fought Nong-O and Sam-A. Maybe they’ll think the same against Nabil until I do it.”

Chatri Sityodtong, ONE’s chairman and CEO, has already confirmed that the fight would happen. The only questions left are when and where.
