Jonathan Haggerty said a potential third meeting with Rodtang Jitmuangnon would only take place on his terms.

The two have met twice previously at flyweight with the Thai fighter winning on both occasions – the second of which was in 2020.

Rodtang’s stunning first-round knockout victory over Japanese kickboxing icon Takeru Segawa at ONE 173 saw ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirm discussion on a third with Haggerty were under way.

However, should that bout happen, the Englishman said it will not be at flyweight.

“I’m not going back down,” Haggerty told the Post. “If Rodtang wants it, he’s got to come up to bantamweight. And it’s got to be in Muay Thai. I need to use my full skill set.”

Haggerty is no longer competing at flyweight and is firmly entrenched in the bantamweight division, where he is the reigning ONE Kickboxing world champion.
