Milano Cortina Winter Olympics: Hong Kong skiers, skaters form city’s largest squad ever
Alpine skier Adrian Yung, who becomes city’s youngest two-time Winter Olympian, joined by Eloise King, Darren Kwok and Joey Lam

Hong Kong will send its largest Winter Olympics delegation in history to the Milano Cortina Games this month, with four athletes making the trek to Italy.
Alpine skiers Adrian Yung Hau‑tsuen and Eloise King Yung‑shih will join short-track speed skaters Darren Kwok Tsz‑fung and Joey Lam Ching‑yan at the Games, where Hong Kong will be represented for the seventh time.
Yung will compete in the men’s slalom and men’s giant slalom, while King will race in the women’s slalom. Kwok will contest the men’s 1,000m and 1,500m short-track events and Lam will take part in the women’s 1,500m.
The 21-year-old Yung is the only one of the quartet to have competed at a Winter Olympics before, having raced at the 2022 Beijing Games, and his qualification this time around makes him Hong Kong’s youngest two-time cold-weather Olympian.
Before Yung, the only other city athlete to reach two Winter Games was speed skater Han Yueshuang, who competed in Turin and Vancouver in 2006 and 2010, respectively.

Yung, who has been documenting his journey to Italy on social media, said it had been “a tough road since the last Olympics”.
