Coleman Wong Chak-lam will be joined at the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open next month by his fellow National Games medallists Wu Yibing and Jerry Shang Juncheng, the organisers have announced.

Wong, Hong Kong’s leading player, could also face Andrey Rublev, who ended his historic run at this year’s US Open, after the Russian was among a host of the world’s top 20 players confirmed to have signed up.

Set to play at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium from January 4 to 11 are world No 8 Lorenzo Musetti of Italy, Kazakhstan’s No 11-ranked Alexander Bublik and two-time grand slam singles quarter-finalist Karen Khachanov, who is ranked 18.
