Hong Kong International Lacrosse Super Sixes returns with more teams, new venue
Teams flying in from the United States, South Korea and New Zealand for the first time as tournament moves to Hong Kong Football Club

The Hong Kong International Lacrosse Sixes will boast its biggest turnout yet for its third edition late next month, with the sport’s Olympic debut a little less than three years away.
A total of 14 teams – seven each for the men’s and women’s sections – from eight countries and regions have signed up, including Hong Kong’s own contenders. The first two tournaments, held in 2023 and 2024, attracted 13 and 10 teams respectively.
There will also be a new home for the event, with Hong Kong Football Club playing host from December 27 to 29.
Among those represented for the first time will be global lacrosse powerhouse the United States, along with South Korea and New Zealand. The New Zealanders are expected to send their national team players.

Also strong are Germany, taking part for a third consecutive year along with China and the Philippines. There are two Japanese sides, with reigning men’s champions Fogo returning and the Japan Lacrosse Association sending a team for the women’s competition.
Six-a-side lacrosse – the fast-paced, compact version of the traditional 10-a-side field lacrosse – is building towards the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, its first Games. Officials at the Hong Kong, China Lacrosse Association were hoping the upgrade in venue for their event, from public courts in Wong Chuk Hang, would help them to showcase the shortened format.
