Hong Kong’s Muay Thai fans and fighters will have the opportunity to train with ONE Championship flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, with the “Kicking Machine” visiting the city for the first time this weekend.
Considered one of the greatest exponents in Muay Thai history, the 29-year-old will host a seminar at the Tai Po Sports Association Li Fook Lam Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday.
The organisers, Weedper Fitness Club and Ocean Muay Thai & Fitness, called the event “a rare opportunity” to meet a world-class champion and learn “elite fighting techniques”.
“Superlek has won the hearts of fight fans worldwide with his lightning-fast kicks and impeccable fight style,” organisers said. “In this seminar, he will personally share his signature techniques, competition experience, and some entertaining and inspiring stories from his professional career.
“Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fan, this is a unique chance to witness the brilliance of a double world champion and learn the secrets to becoming a champion yourself.”

Standard admission tickets cost HK$880 and 10 VIP packages were priced at HK$1,380. Details on how to purchase are available on Superlek’s Instagram page.
The VIP tickets include a meal with Superlek, where he will share his experience and stories about his fight career and his rise to the top of combat sports.
In a video announcing his imminent arrival, Superlek tried out some Cantonese to address fans, saying: “Hello everyone, I am Superlek. See you on July 6.”
In March, Superlek held the bantamweight Muay Thai world championship belt alongside his kickboxing crown.
However, heading into ONE 172 in Japan at the end of that month, the 29-year-old failed the pre-fight weigh-in and hydration tests, losing his bantamweight belt on the scale.
Days after the weigh-in, he suffered a shock unanimous decision defeat in a non-title fight to the now 21-year-old French-Algerian Nabil Anane, who also became the first fighter to score a knockdown against Superlek.
