On Sunday, United beat Manchester City 2-1, but Rashford was left out, and this led to media reports that the club were looking to sell the 27-year-old.

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford told Winter when asked if he was staying or leaving United.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person.”

Fifa even the score

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior finally got the recognition he and his club believe he deserves on Tuesday, when he was named Fifa best men’s player of the year.
