Hong Kong swimming star Siobhan Haughey could turn out for a new team in next season’s International Swimming League after organisers announced a radical new draft system.
Haughey impressed for Energy Standard in the Budapest bubble last season breaking several Asian records along the way.
She was in the running for MVP, finishing seventh, but could not help the inaugural champions retain their title in season two as they lost the final to the Cali Condors.
Now, with the ISL shaking things up with a draft system, the 23-year-old may be on the move again, having swapped from DC Trident where she was the team’s top scorer in season one.

Last season most teams had 32 swimmers – 16 men and 16 women – but they can only protect half of that squad with the new draft, meaning that some of the biggest names in swimming could swap teams.
Haughey, who has eight wins from eight in the 200m in the ISL, would be one of the most in demand if Energy Standard do not retain her.
