Former English Premier League player joins Kitchee as Hong Kong league adds star quality
Victor Camarasa joins ex-Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi on books of reigning champions for twin-glory quest

Kitchee have sprinkled more stardust on the local Premier League after confirming the signing of free-agent former Spain under-21 midfielder Victor Camarasa.
A spectator from the stands as Kitchee began their Hong Kong title defence with a 3-2 victory at BC Rangers on Saturday, Camarasa played 31 games in the English Premier League during a season-long loan with Cardiff City in 2018-19.
The 32-year-old, who joins Asier Illarramendi, the ex-Spain and Real Madrid midfielder, on the books of the 13-time local league champions, has also made 140 La Liga appearances across spells with Levante, Alaves and Real Betis.
He was limited to only seven outings off the bench during his single season with Hungarian top-flight club Debrecen last term.
“I’ve been lucky to play with and against some very good players, so I understand the game very well,” Camarasa said.
“I will bring quality with the ball. I want to achieve something in Asia and give my best every day, and whenever I play.”
