This weekend could see matters both at the top and bottom of the Premier League resolved.
As for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, the main issue to contend with in Gameweek 34 is the blanks for Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
This comes hot on the heels of a Double Gameweek, so changes will be necessary as we close in on the final stretch of the campaign.
I’m filling in today for my esteemed colleague, Lars Hamer, who’s had quite the past few weeks in FPL.
But let’s get down to why you’re really here.

With two of the top three not in action, the highest-scoring players will surely come from either Liverpool or Newcastle United.
The Reds can clinch the title this weekend by picking up at least a point in a kind-looking fixture against 16th-place Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) is the league’s top scorer with 27 goals and this seems like a perfect game for him to be handed the armband.
He has been the man for the big occasions. He has just signed a new contract and he is Liverpool’s talisman – isn’t it just written in the stars that he scores the goals which clinch Arne Slot’s side the title?
Salah’s teammate Luis Diaz (£7.5m) is another contender for the midfield and is undergoing his most consistent run of form this season.
Newcastle, meanwhile, will relegate Ipswich Town with a draw when the two sides meet at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Despite their wobble at Villa Park, the Magpies are one of the league’s form sides and welcome back manager Eddie Howe to the dug-out as they look to close in on Champions League football.
Forward Alexander Isak (£9.6m) is only six goals off Salah’s total. With five games remaining that’s not an impossible reach – and facing a side that has conceded 71 goals so far this season is the perfect opportunity to try to close the gap.

Teammate Harvey Barnes (£6.0m) is arguably in his best run of form since joining Newcastle, with four goals in as many matches.
Elsewhere, get Bournemouth’s Kepa Arrizabalaga (£4.6m) in net. The stats will tell you he is kept back-to-back clean sheets and earned 17 points over the past two Gameweeks.
The facts will add that he is facing Manchester United – a side who simply do not score goals (in domestic football). The reverse fixture was 3-0 for the Cherries away from home. This is as close to a gimme as you’ll see this weekend.
Southampton welcome Fulham, so it may be an idea to get some Cottagers on board.
Defender Ryan Sessegnon (£4.1m) has improved of late with three goals and two assists in his past seven matches, while Alex Iwobi (£5.5m) has scored against Liverpool and Chelsea in recent weeks – surely he can do even better against the league’s bottom side.
My final tip for this GW is, if your budget allows, to give Cole Palmer (£10.6m) one last chance, despite an underwhelming 2025.
Chelsea welcome Everton and, after a strong start on his return to Goodison Park, David Moyes’ side have just one win in their past eight matches.
Furthermore, the Scot has never won at Stamford Bridge. Back Chelsea and stick with Palmer.
