A fiery Merseyside Derby under the lights at Goodison Park finished 2-2 on Wednesday to end Fantasy Premier League’s Gameweek 24, which started 12 days ago.
Gameweek 24 was the first Double Gameweek of the season and saw managers score a whopping average of 87 points.
While all that was going on, the Premier League announced the second Double Gameweek would be with us this weekend.
So, with Liverpool and Aston Villa set to play two games in one week, we’ll tell you who to target for Gameweek 25, highlight the winners and losers of the last round of Premier League fixtures and tell you which players you need to sign.
Gameweek 24 review
The announcement that Gameweek 24 would be followed by another Double Gameweek for Liverpool meant that many managers used their Assistant Manager chip on Reds boss Arne Slot.
That move means players who stick with the Dutchman for three weeks will get five games out of him.

Slot scored 15 points over both games, but the real winners were those who went for his Wednesday night counterpart. David Moyes scored 22 points in Everton’s two fixtures.
Many managers who did not play their Assistant Manager chip put the Triple Captain on Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) for 87 points.
Gameweek 24 was a great week for owners of Everton players as Jordan Pickford (£5.1m) and defender James Tarkowski (£4.8m), the latter getting a goal, a clean sheet and an assist for 17 points.
An honourable mention goes out to Nottingham Forest; they bounced back from a 5-0 loss to Bournemouth to beat Brighton 7-0. Chris Wood (£7.1m), Anthony Elanga (£5.3m) and Neco Williams (£4.4m) all featured in the team of the week.
Gameweek 25 transfers
If you still have your Triple Captain chip (and didn’t launch the Assistant Manager one), use it on Salah this week. Liverpool’s exit from the FA Cup means they are unlikely to get any more Double Gameweeks this season.
This week has a lot of managers selling Newcastle players, with Anthony Gordon (£7.6m), Lewis Hall (£5.1m) and Alexander Isak (£9.5m) all among the top five most-transferred-out players.
The reason for the sale is a tricky run of fixtures and also because Newcastle will not play in Gameweek 29. Personally, I’m keeping Isak as I believe he can score this weekend against Man City, and I like the potential differential that comes with players shipping him out.

Newcastle will also have a Double Gameweek in the future, so holding Toon Army players and using your Free Hit to navigate their blank Gameweek 29 is the way forward.
Most people will be targeting Liverpool and Aston Villa players this week, and the obvious picks are Morgan Rogers (£5.6m), Cody Gakpo (£7.6m), Salah and Virgil van Dijk (£6.4m).
Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m) played 30 minutes against Everton, so he could be back in contention to start his side’s games against Wolves and Villa.
As for Villa, Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) is still a doubt because of injury, and some managers have also brought in Marcus Rashford (£6.6m). Both are not guaranteed 90 minutes and are not worth the risk.
