Hong Kong to host International Cricket Council Asia Conference, T20 series in April
Meeting aims to gather insights from ICC members on ways to develop cricket in the region; Nepal, Qatar and Kuwait to also play in the series
Hong Kong will host the leaders of 25 member countries at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Asia Conference on April 5 and 6, the ICC has announced.
Those present will include representatives from the ICC and the Asian Cricket Council.
The conference, which will run under the motto “Together We Grow”, aims to gather insights from ICC members on ways to develop cricket in the region. Key focus areas include participation, non-ICC revenue generation, training and education, and high-performance strategies.
The conference will also provide members with strategies to navigate the changing cricket landscape, and thereby strengthen relationships within the cricket community.
William Glenwright, the ICC’s head of global development, said the Asia Regional Conference “plays a critically important role in delivering the ICC’s strategic ambitions”.
“It is a great opportunity for us to learn from what our members are doing so successfully and to apply those lessons globally to help the game grow like it has never grown before,” he said.
