The APC Group One Day Series will follow on from the T20 tournament that also includes Bahrain, and will take place from March 15 to 20 at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.

Hong Kong will open with a game against Kuwait, and the top two sides will play-off in a final on Sunday, March 19 with the third-placed team taking on a Hong Kong ‘A’ side the following day.

While providing new coach Simon Willis another opportunity to evaluate his squad in a competitive setting, captain Nizakat Khan said the fixtures were an essential part of the team’s build up to the Asia Cup qualifiers in Nepal in April.

“These one day games will be crucial as we switch gear from T20s to one-day before heading out to Nepal,” Khan said. “We are excited to do well against the quality oppositions and take the positive momentum into our busy calendar in the year ahead.”

CHK official Anuraag Bhatnagar said the series was part of an “extensive calendar of exciting cricket events” the board had planned now Hong Kong had reopened.
