Paradigm Sports CEO Audie Attar says his combat sports agency will “cut off 100 per cent” of Manny Pacquiao’s opportunities to earn money in the United States “once we win” at trial.
The Filipino boxing icon is being accused of breaching his contract with the US-based Paradigm, which says it has suffered US$20 million in damages since signing him in February 2020.
The case will go to trial in Orange County, California, on March 3.
Paradigm, which also manages UFC superstar Conor Mcgregor, alleges that Pacquiao violated the firm’s exclusive rights to promote his fights, with the 44-year-old engaging in bouts outside their deal.

“Manny’s days of thumbing his nose at our contractual rights are almost at an end,” Paradigm founder Attar said in a statement. “We have an overwhelming case against him and look forward to justice being served.
“The Court has already entered an Order stating that – due to his consistent violation of court orders – Pacquiao is now deemed to have admitted he breached his contract with Paradigm and that Paradigm has suffered more than US$20 million in damages.”

Pacquiao set up a fight without Paradigm against the undefeated unified WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jnr for May 2021, instead of Paradigm’s preferred opponent, Mikey Garcia.
The bout fell through on short notice because of an eye injury to Spence, and Pacquiao was then sued by Paradigm the next month.
He then fought Yordenis Ugas on August 10, instead, losing a unanimous decision, and announced his retirement soon after to focus on running for the Presidency in the Philippines.
Having failed to be elected, Pacquiao returned for an exhibition bout in December 2022 against South Korean martial artist and YouTuber DK Yoo.

He was also ringside for Floyd Mayweather’s September 2022 exhibition win over Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in the Rizin Fighting Federation promotion fuelling speculation of a big-money rematch.
“If any promoters, managers, fighters or broadcasting networks are considering entering into an agreement with Manny prior to the trial, they are now on notice that Paradigm will immediately commence an action against them for tortious interference with contract and seek both an injunction and damages,” Attar’s statement added.
“Once Paradigm wins at trial in March, we will cut off 100 per cent of Manny’s opportunities to earn money in the United States from any source because any revenue he generates will be attached to his judgment.
“Additionally, Paradigm will aggressively pursue enforcement of its judgment in any foreign country where Manny seeks to fight.”
