Beating the heat: Indigo Living’s new collections arrive for summer
Beach Class, Caribbean Easy, Urban Chic and Pretty in Pink are home interior products brand’s latest offerings
With stores across Asia extending as far as the Middle East, customers are spoiled for choice by Indigo Living’s exquisite range of home interior products. The brand introduces new collections to its showrooms each year and 2017 is no exception.
In time for warmer weather, Indigo brings us its light and bright Beach Class collection with a fresh take on nautically-inspired styling. The brand takes its cues from the beachside lifestyle best epitomised by St Barts, Cape Cod and California.
“The Beach Class trend is part-escapism, part-summer celebration,” says John McLennan, founder and executive chairman of Indigo Living. “It’s a look that seems effortless at first glance, but is created with careful attention to detail.”
And detail it has. From the cool, cream colours and earthy tones to natural materials and graphic textures, all are infused in the interpretation. Polished surfaces and metallic geometrics get extra attention this summer. Indigo suggest cooling textures for your interiors “that won’t stifle a space during hot summer months”. Bedrooms remain simple and stylish with white lacquer furniture that can help elevate and lift the space, and maximising sunlight. Glass and transparent items also help make spaces feel bigger and less cluttered.
For a tropical touch, Indigo’s Caribbean Easy series adds splashes of rich pigments and vibrant hues inside the home. McLennan says it is all about exploration as well as enjoyment, playing around with different patterns and ideas. “Balancing big, bold and classic retro shapes with clever details, the Caribbean trend is a personal favourite of mine,” he adds. The collection delivers understated silhouettes with bright shapes, colours and prints, creating a look that is “fun without frivolity”.
