On behalf of the University Grants Committee, I take great pleasure in extending my warmest congratulations to the Lingnan University on the 50th anniversary of its re-establishment in Hong Kong.

Over the past decades, Lingnan University has dedicated itself to promoting liberal arts education that combines the very best of Chinese and Western traditions. The close staff-student relationship, rich residential campus life, global learning opportunities and active community service have helped nurture generations of Lingnanians with a critical mind, caring heart and who have made invaluable contributions to the society.
