Hugo keeps it classic – and tasty – in new Kowloon digs
- Favourite restaurant’s new home replicates its classic interior and renowned dishes such as lobster bisque and steak tartare
With decades of history in Hong Kong, Hugo’s continues to be a popular fine-dining establishment with its classic continental dishes in a traditional setting. The interior was replicated from its original Nathan Road venue, featuring leather seats, white tablecloths, dark wooden beams, wrought iron chandeliers and antique swords mounted on walls.
Hugo’s is noted for tableside service with dishes like Caesar salad, lobster bisque, steak tartare, cherries jubilee and crêpes Suzette. Roast US rib of beef comes on a Christofle silver carving wagon. Service is friendly and efficient and staff are well-versed in recommending from the menu or wine list for pairing.
