Butcher’s board a cut above the rest at Alto, Causeway Bay

Atop V Point Tower in Causeway Bay, Alto’s Tom Dixon-designed interior features gold lights that add glamour to the monochrome framing of the large windows that look onto the panoramic view. The menu has a choice of starters to share – Ahi tuna tartare with sesame, avocado and mango and watermelon salad with chilli-roasted feta, thyme and raisin vinaigrette.

Mains include USDA and Argentinian grass-fed beef but we liked the butcher’s board of A4 Wagyu sirloin, USDA hanger steak, grass-fed beef and bone marrow. Other dishes include leg of lamb, duck breast, salmon and gnocchi. Start the meal with a cocktail on the rooftop bar.
