Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, this highly anticipated event, and Asia's premier marketing conference, MarketingPulse returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 20.
Last year’s inaugural MarketingPulse Conference attracted brand owners, C-level executives, sales and marketing professionals, digital strategists and key opinion leaders. There were over 1,200 attendees and 120 business matching meetings.
This year's Conference will build on that solid foundation with a comprehensive and packed programme consisting of plenary sessions, dialogues, digital marketing and other specialised workshops. There will also be plenty of opportunities for personal networking, and learning opportunities in the full-day expo with companies showcasing a large variety of cutting-edge marketing and branding solutions.
MarketingPulse 2019's programme will provide attendees with a raft of insider tricks and tips to stay ahead of the competition. Consider the first plenary session Dear Brands, Let's Sail to the Future!—where seasoned marketing professionals and top influencers from Hong Kong and around the world will share with the audience innovative campaigns embracing global trends.
The plenary session is not to be missed. Sharing the stage will be such distinguished speakers as Bozoma Saint John, Chief Marketing Officer of multinational Endeavor; Jonathan Mildenhall, Co-Founder & CEO of startups-focused TwentyFirstCenturyBrand; and Dr Marcelo Pascoa, Head of Global Brand Marketing for global fast food giant Burger King.
Endeavor's Saint John’s hands-on driving marketing efforts across Endeavor’s growing global business empire, embrace some of the biggest enterprises in sports, entertainment and media companies—including WME, IMG and UFC. Much of Saint John's previous experience in her remarkable marketing/advertising career has been ultra-impressive; she served in on-demand mobility provider Uber, Apple Music, iTunes and Pepsi. Leading digital media company BuzzFeed has called her the "coolest person to ever go on stage at an Apple event.”
Offering perhaps a different perspective on the subject, considering his experience, will be Jonathan Mildenhall, Co-Founder and CEO of TwentyFirstCenturyBrand. Mildenhall started his career at leading creative agency McCann-Erickson, at the time serving some of the world's most coveted brands, from Audi and General Motors, to Alfred Dunhill to Smirnoff. He was later to join Coca-Cola, heading the company's Global Advertising Strategy and Creative, contributing to the company's most profitable growth period in 20 years. Before launching his own marketing focused TwentyFirstCenturyBrand, Mildenhall also served with Airbnb, where he worked to transform the-then fledgling disruptive property rental platform into the global super brand that it is today.
Also sharing the stage at the plenary session will be Dr Marcelo Pascoa, Burger King's Head of Global Brand Marketing. The former Creative Director at Grey, and DDB Brazil, has been behind some remarkably high-profile marketing and branding campaigns worldwide. After joining Coca-Cola, for example, he led the development concerning the beverage giant's 2016 Olympics global campaigns. Throughout his career, Pascoa focused on projects that had a significant impact in popular culture, and won many accolades along the way.
The HKTDC has, yet again, proved that it stays at the forefront of marketing innovations and trends, and works to ensure that its conference programme always features multiple discussions and dialogues that focus on the cutting-edge use of technologies.
At the session Data: New Currency for All (Consumers & Brands), organised in association with digital marketing-focused organisation IAB Hong Kong powered by HKDMA, Andy Ann, Founder and CEO of the NDN Group, a fast-growing digital media company—and Derek Kwok, North Asia Head of Programmatic and Performance Solution, Google Hong Kong will share their insights in harnessing the anticipated exponential growth in data.
For anyone who wishes to be inspired by superb examples of digital marketing, this session is an absolute gem. The NDN Group has heavily invested in mobile advertising networks, social networking, big data, Artificial Intelligence, and many other technology-intensive areas. Ann himself is a serial entrepreneur, and a noted angel investor, who has founded and funded over 20 pioneering companies.
In addition, MarketingPulse will feature a total of five digital marketing workshops that provide solid solutions to our day-to-day marketing problems. For example, at one of the workshops, Edwin Wong—Founder of the influencer platform Cloudbreakr, will talk about How Augmented Intelligence Assist Influencer Marketing Campaign Management and Amplify the Brand Affinity?
This is set to be another fascinating session as the visionary Wong, who was able to foresee the arrival of social influencers, has been building an intelligent platform to discover the myth behind influencers. He has also created the professional network for pioneers to build their own professional identities, and to connect to the world's social influencers. In less than three years, Wong was able to expand his start-up company from Hong Kong to Malaysia, and so provided the needed software to over 10,000 marketers across Asia.
