Smart Hong Kong Pavilion at the InnoEX 2024 will showcase over 100 I&T solutions benefitting citizens’ daily lives, demonstrating Hong Kong’s accomplishments in I&T development

The Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau (ITIB) will organise the Business of Innovation and Technology Week in April, which includes the government-funded innovation and technology (I&T) signature events, the Digital Economy Summit jointly organised by the ITIB, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Hong Kong Cyberport on 12 and 13 April, and the InnoEX 2024 jointly organised by the ITIB and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council from 13 to 16 April.
OGCIO will set up the Smart Hong Kong Pavilion at the InnoEX 2024 and showcase over 100 I&T solutions including those developed by different government departments benefitting citizens’ daily lives, and demonstrate Hong Kong’s accomplishments in advancing the development of I&T and smart city, which is the fruit of the concerted efforts of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and various sectors.
The Pavilion, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), will feature six smart areas, namely, “Smart Living”, “Smart Mobility”, “Smart Environment”, “Smart People”, “Smart Government” and “Smart Economy”, and showcase innovative solutions adopted by more than 20 government bureauax and departments and a series of winning entries of the “Hong Kong ICT Awards”, “Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards”, “‘Maker in China’ SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest - Hong Kong Chapter” and the “Open Data Hackathon” from local innovators and students. Through interactive experience and live demonstration, OGCIO hopes to pool together various sectors and government departments to encourage exchanges and co-operation, so as to further promote the adoption of more I&T solutions by government departments with a view to continuously enhancing public services for the benefit of the public and businesses.
