Emma Raducanu, current British women's tennis number one and the reigning US Open champion, has become an HSBC global ambassador. She will be partnering with HSBC to collaborate on sports initiatives and financial opportunities for the next generation.

Emma is one of the most famous tennis players today. Last year, she had a meteoric rise to fame when she rose through the ranks at an incredible rate. A few years ago, her Women's Tennis Association ranking was in the 300s and is now at 11.

Emma became the youngest female British player to win the US Open last year. Apart from talent and hard work, intelligence, resilience and commitment are the traits that have propelled her to success.

With a multicultural background, Emma has made an impact as a global citizen. The daughter of a Romanian father and Chinese mother, she was born in Canada but grew up and trained in the UK, making her an icon of diversity embracing all races and cultures.

HSBC believes that sport has the power to change lives and will collaborate with Emma to unlock opportunities for young people
