Three car accidents in nearly the same spot on a Hong Kong highway have left at least seven people injured, including a 10-month-old baby.

Police received a report at 4pm on Sunday that at least three cars had collided on the Kowloon-bound lanes of the Fanling Highway, near the Hong Lok Yuen flyover in Tai Po.

Online dashcam footage shows two cars that had stopped on the dashed lines of the highway’s right shoulder.

A seven-seater approaches from behind, appearing to lose control and spinning around before colliding with the two cars. A cloud of dust and white smoke can be seen coming from the crash site.

Two men and two women suffered minor injuries.

Authorities closed part of the lanes before reopening them at 4.32pm.
