Two men were sent to hospital after a Porsche crashed into the lobby of a residential complex in Hong Kong on Sunday morning.

Police said a 72-year-old man surnamed Chan drove his car into the lobby of the Grand Austin in Yau Ma Tei at around 9.14am.

Images shared online show the car inside the lobby, surrounded by broken glass and other debris from the crash.

The force said a 60-year-old pedestrian surnamed Lam injured his abdomen while trying to get out of the way of the car.

One of the building’s security guards, a 58-year-old surnamed So, also suffered injuries to his foot and torso after being hit by items knocked down by the vehicle.

The pedestrian and the security guard were taken to the nearby Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment. Chan did not suffer any injuries.
