2 more arrested in Hong Kong over illicit cigarette murder case, taking tally to 27
Two men, aged 29 and 32, apprehended at border crossing, police say

Hong Kong police have arrested two people at Shenzhen Bay Port in connection with the murder of a 51-year-old man in August, bringing the number of people apprehended over the case to 27.
The force said on Saturday that the pair, two men aged 29 and 32, had been arrested a day earlier at the border crossing on suspicion of murder. Police laid a holding charge on the 29-year-old for one count of murder, while the 32-year-old was released on bail.
The 29-year-old’s case will be mentioned at Fanling Court on Monday, while the 32-year-old has been required to report back to police in late January.
Friday’s arrests were linked to the murder of a man in Tin Shui Wai on August 25. The victim’s body was discovered with a knife wound to the head under a bridge over Yick Yuen Road.
A source previously said investigators had identified him as Zeng Pengshan, a Hong Kong identity card holder.
The Post also learned earlier that the victim was a construction worker who was believed to have helped deliver illicit cigarettes before making off with HK$4 million (US$514,400) worth of product after failing to get a promised reward.
Police in August said the victim had been abducted and was injured when he attempted to escape, dying as he was taken away in his own car before his body was dumped under the bridge.
