Hong Kong authorities hunt for suspect behind knife attack on 3 customs officers
Police source says officers part of anti-narcotics raid at flat, with suspect later locking door and fleeing before police stormed in

Hong Kong authorities are hunting for a suspect who injured three customs officers with a knife during an anti-narcotics raid at a flat in To Kwa Wan, as the security minister condemned the violent incident.
Customs chief Chan Tsz-tat said that seven officers from the Customs and Excise Department were raiding the flat in block E of Honour Building on To Kwa Wan Road in connection with narcotics-related activities at about 4.55pm on Thursday evening.
Before they could arrest him, the 38-year-old suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked three officers – an inspector, a senior customs officer and a customs officer – injuring their arms and legs.
All three were conscious when taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Jordan.
The inspector, 29, was discharged after receiving treatment, while the other two officers, aged 36 and 42, remained hospitalised. Chan said their conditions were stable.
The 36-year-old and 42-year-old officers sustained wounds up to 10cm (3.93 inches) long on their limbs.
