A Hong Kong police officer has been charged with indecent assault and will appear in court on Friday.
The 33-year-old was accused of indecently assaulting a 31-year-old woman on a footbridge at Fung Tak Road in Wong Tai Sin at around 2.50am on February 4. He was off duty at the time of the alleged assault.
A police spokesman said on Thursday that the officer – who had been arrested, charged and suspended from duty – would be brought to Kowloon City Court on Friday.
The Post has learned that the officer was serving in Mong Kok and did not know the alleged victim.
