Man arrested over attack on 5 people at Hong Kong’s City University campus
Suspect attacked 39-year-old woman who reportedly asked him to turn down phone volume before hitting intervening staff and police

The force said on Tuesday that the 23-year-old man surnamed Wang was arrested a day earlier in Kowloon Tong on suspicion of attacking a woman, 39, with a chair and stealing some of her cash and other personal belongings.
According to local media, the suspect became agitated when the woman asked him to turn down the volume of a video playing on his phone in a campus canteen.
A canteen employee tried to intervene but Wang allegedly attacked him, injuring his nose.
Three officers arrived on the scene at around 10.30am after receiving an incident report.

Wang is believed to have damaged one of the officers’ body cameras before running into a university library, where he attacked another man.
