Hong Kong police hunt for helper who allegedly assaulted cancer patient, 81
Security footage circulating online shows helper restraining bedridden elderly woman and stuffing a towel into her mouth

Hong Kong police are searching for a domestic helper after security footage appeared to show her stuffing a towel into an elderly woman’s mouth and restraining her in a flat in Sham Shui Po.
In a sped-up 13-minute clip, the helper can be seen repeatedly attempting to wrap up the elderly woman’s hands with a towel and tie them with a rope before finally succeeding. The other woman resists throughout the process.
The domestic worker then forcefully flips the woman. The pair appear to exchange words throughout the struggle.
Security footage circulating online shows the helper, who is from Indonesia, using a yoga rope to tie the hands of the struggling, bedridden 81-year-old woman, whose mouth was also stuffed with a towel several times.
The person who posted the clip on social media said the victim was her mother and that the elderly woman suffered from lymphoma.
A police spokesman said the daughter, 55, reported the incident on Tuesday last week, saying her mother was assaulted by the helper a day earlier, when she was tied up in their home in Lai Tak House at Lai On Estate.
