Hong Kong police probe death of 3 dogs in suspected poisoning
Source says force received report that three dogs had been found dead near warehouse in Lin Tong Mei village in Sheung Shui

Hong Kong police are investigating the deaths of three dogs in a suspected poisoning case in the New Territories, the Post has learned, amid a recent surge in incidents of animal cruelty.
A source said the force received a report at around 1.13am on Thursday that three dogs had been found dead near a warehouse in Lin Tong Mei village in Sheung Shui.
The report described patches of vomit near the dogs’ remains, prompting suspicions that the animals were poisoned.
The source also said officers discovered a two-month-old puppy alive at the scene, with the animal showing no signs of physical injury and later being handed over to the local branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The case has been classified as suspected animal cruelty and is being handled by Tai Po police district’s criminal investigation team. No arrests have been made so far.
