Police received a report at 11.20am on Wednesday from a man who had spotted offerings along with an object that looked like a black cat’s head as he passed the entrance to Sheung Yau Tin village in Yuen Long in the New Territories.

“The reason for the cat’s head being placed there is still under investigation,” a police spokesman said.

According to a source, the man called police as he saw blood stains on the cat’s head.
