The 12-hectare (29-acre) lake, located at Penny’s Bay, about 1km (0.6 miles) from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, opens to the public daily.

The body was reportedly discovered beneath a tree by a couple on Sunday. Staff members at the centre then reported it to police at 3.30pm.

Officers and Fire Services Department personnel arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Police have classified the case as a “dead body found”.
