Hong Kong bus technician remanded over seditious posts, photos on social media
Li Chun-kit faces count of ‘knowingly publishing publications that had seditious intention’ under Safeguarding National Security Ordinance
He has been accused of publishing seditious material on social media between March 29, 2024, and January 21 of this year, with the intention of instigating “hatred, contempt or disaffection” towards the constitutional order and the city government’s executive, legislative or judicial branches.
The Post learned that the prosecution had alleged that Li made more than 100 seditious posts involving texts, photos and links to news outlets using a social media account.
The exact wording used in the materials has yet to be fully disclosed.
But authorities said some content involved “calling for sanctions against government officials as well as inciting violence”.
