Knife-wielding attackers assaulted two men near Hi Yip Factory Building, police say
A Hong Kong man has died and another has been injured after a knife-wielding group of people attacked them in Yuen Long.
Police said they received a report at 5.34am on Wednesday that the two men were assaulted by seven to eight attackers near Hi Yip Factory Building on Wang Yip Street West in Yuen Long.
The assailants then fled the scene in four private vehicles in the direction of Hi Yip Street, a spokesman for the force said.
The first victim, 24, sustained arm and leg wounds and was transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital. He was later sent to Pok Oi Hospital before he was certified dead at 6.38am.
The other man, 28, suffered back injuries and was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. He reported the incident to police.
The incident is currently under investigation, according to the force.
