Couple arrested over suspected murder of domestic helper found dead at Hong Kong waterfall
Police say Southeast Asian victim believed to have drowned after she was hit with a hard object
Injuries measuring from two to four centimetres were found on her forehead and the back of her head and there were wounds on her limbs, Sin said on Tuesday.
The husband, 34, a foreign national who holds a Hong Kong identity card, was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said. His wife, 36, a local woman, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police said initial investigations found the male suspect went with the victim to the scene at about 11pm on Sunday, and stayed there for about 30 to 40 minutes before he rushed off alone in a taxi.
Sin said that after homing in on the male suspect, investigators swooped on the couple’s home at Ap Lei Chau but found they had gone to mainland China.
