Leung Ho-fung, 27, was escorted to Eastern Court on Friday to face nine counts of theft and six of obtaining property by deception.

He was not required to speak apart from confirming he understood the allegations, as the prosecution asked for an adjournment of more than seven weeks for police to conduct further investigations.

Leung stands accused of stealing an iPhone 15 Pro Max, 11 credit cards and HK$9,000 in cash from seven men and two women.

Five of the alleged incidents of theft took place at Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital in Happy Valley from September 19 to October 19 this year, a charge sheet submitted to the court showed.
