Hong Kong police arrest mother over leaving 9-month-old daughter alone in flat
Police say baby showed no signs of injury and had been sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical check
Hong Kong police have arrested a 22-year-old mother on suspicion of neglecting her baby daughter by leaving the girl alone in a flat during the early hours of Monday morning.
The force said a report was filed at around 4am that alleged the nine-month-old baby had been left in the flat, located on Mong Kok’s Tung Choi Street.
“Police have arrested the baby’s mother for suspected ill-treatment or neglect by those in charge of a child or young person, after arriving at the scene and conducting a preliminary investigation,” the force said, listing the mother’s age as 22 years old.
Police said the baby showed no signs of injury and had been sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for a medical check.
